Almost everything around us is rounded at some scale. Be it your laptop, LinkedIn’s “post” button, and many other things. What sharp things can you find? Knife, folk, etc

We have been trained to see sharp things as something that can hurt us. (psychological approach)

The scientific approach to this is that eyes are faster in recording a circle. And sharp corners take more cognitive visible effort and they don’t look smooth.
All this calls for rounded corners to be the best fit for your elements.

Make use of rounded corners in your design but don’t oversaturate your design with it. Also, be mindful of where not to use rounded corners

There are more articles out there and if you want to read them, Google — “why do we like curvy structures” or “why do we trust rounded corners”

Have you heard of women liking circular objects?
P.S. — I am not talking about your circular belly **If you are looking for a User Experience designer that will help your business grow, DM me, let’s talk. I am open to opportunities
